Season Long Academy Program
The Academy is a before school program that enables athletes to maximize their time for schoolwork and team play. The Academy features on-ice session once per week, analysis/review and reports. This program lasts from September-April.
A GDI Instructor can attend your team practice. This is a great compliment to your 1-on-1 training as it enables analysis of dynamic game situations. Includes a written follow-up report outlining drills and areas of focus.
Our private lessons are based out of our home arena East Calgary Twin. All lessons are 30 minutes in duration. The sessions can be designed on a needs basis or the goaltender can follow a progression of skills. Our lessons also include video.
The perfect refresher course to fine tune mechanics and focus on the details that sometimes slip as the season wears on the summer training gets further in the rear-view mirror. Hosted outside our facility these 2 or 3 day camps are timed perfectly with Christmas Break.
Game Video Analysis
Utilizing the new 360 Save Review System
Goaltenders go through an intense amount of training through private lessons, clinics and camps, but there can be a disconnect between this and their game performance.
We are seeking to bridge that gap and close the loop on a goaltenders development by offering this new system for the goaltenders to view their performance and GDI to analyze their play
GDI Powerskating is an affordable 1 hour session to target agility, balance, quickness, power to give the goalie a unique and different look at improving their athleticism and mobility to enhance their game.
The GDI Specialty Clinics are based on a specific topic to tackle common problem areas in a goalie’s game. They are 1 hour in duration and include video in a 2:1 ratio.
Association Clinics & Evaluations
GDI offers several training options for your Association needs. We can host a Coaching Clinic as well as Development Clinics for any association size and budget. We offer Association Evaluations as well for all Association sizes and budgets.
These are the anchor to the goaltender’s off-season development needs. These 3 or 5 day camps provide the biggest impact on goaltender performance in a short period of time. Our camps are very intense and goaltenders will conduct on-ice sessions, fitness testing, flexibility and hand eye training, classroom sessions, daily journals, off-ice dryland, comprehensive evaluation reports and much more.
